The landscapes surrounding Son Mesquida are the result of hundreds of years of working the land. Almond trees, carob trees, fig trees, olive trees and vineyards create an agricultural mosaic that changes colour with the seasons. In winter, the almond trees blossom; in spring, the fields turn green with cereal crops; summer brings the golden tones of the harvest, while autumn is the season of grape picking, when the vineyards offer one of the most beautiful sights in the area.
Livestock farming has also been part of the history of this land. Sheep, goats and pigs have helped maintain a living landscape for generations, producing some of Mallorca’s finest cheeses, cured meatsand traditional products. Es Passarell is located in Son Mesquida, a small rural settlement between Felanitx, Porreres and Campos.
